American Residential Group Retains Spherexx
TULSA, Oklahoma -
Spherexx LLC has been selected to oversee various projects for
American Residential Group including software testing,
selection, training and implementation which will also consist
of a new network installation and hardware infrastructure
upgrade. Plans are also being drawn for the development of
web-based services that will streamline processes and enhance
marketing efforts across the portfolio. Both the onsite and
corporate office software packages will be tested with the
assistance of Spherexx. A team website has been established to
increase communication efforts among the testing team while
keeping management abreast of the progress. The 'team site'
includes documents used to review the features and functions of
the new software, discussion boards for reporting issues,
software demos, timeline calendars along with general
announcements about the project. Testing templates have been
carefully designed to walk the testing team through daily and
monthly processes as they test various software packages.
The scope of work was outlined in phases beginning with the
testing of a selected group of industry-specific software
programs for property management and accounting along with new
hardware and software infrastructures to accommodate the new
applications, then a parallel processing period where both the
new windows/web-based and existing dos-based products were
compared giving users time to acclimate to the new product.
Finally, a custom built process is being designed to facilitate
the migration from the existing DOS-based accounting program to
the new windows and/or web-based accounting solution. Web
development will be integrated in phases to enhance the new
software roll-out, training and updated procedures that are
required with any new operating software. Custom programming and
reporting is also provided by Spherexx after the implementation
to further enhance the utility and function of their new
software investment.
